Analyses the problems existing in the energy efficiency index calculation of the current standards. Introducing the concept of exergy, evaluates the energy utilization from quantity and quality. Applying exergy efficiency to quantitative calculation, compares the energy utilization efficiency of different cold and heat source systems such as boiler, steam compression chiller, absorption chiller, thermal power generation, combined heat and power, combined cooling heating and power. According to the exergy efficiency, finds the key points of energy saving of the equipment. Suggests that the environmental reference state should be selected reasonably to monitor and detect the parameters of the working medium of the cold and heat source loop in different working conditions.
